Central Halmahera, Indonesia – The dedicated airport operated by Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) has achieved a significant milestone by securing third place in aviation safety performance indicators assessed by the regional airport authority.
The airport, known as Weda Bay Airport, was evaluated as part of routine oversight conducted by Airport Authority Region VIII. The assessment measured key aviation safety indicators, reflecting compliance, operational standards, and overall safety performance.
This achievement highlights IWIP’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high safety standards across its supporting infrastructure, particularly in aviation services that play a crucial role in supporting industrial activities and workforce mobility in the nickel processing hub.
As one of Indonesia’s strategic nickel industrial zones, IWIP continues to strengthen its integrated infrastructure, including transportation facilities such as its dedicated airport. The recognition further reinforces the reliability and safety of logistical operations within the industrial park.
