jpnn.com, JAKARTA – PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) has distributed humanitarian assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in the provinces of Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra.
The assistance consists of basic-needs logistics packages as well as financial support to help emergency response efforts in the aftermath of the disasters. This humanitarian aid is part of IWIP’s commitment and concern for communities affected by natural disasters.
The company hopes that the assistance will help ease the burden on victims while also supporting the initial phase of recovery. The logistics assistance includes staple food items, medicines, baby and child necessities, as well as sanitation and hygiene supplies. All logistics aid was channeled through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Aid Reception Post at Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta.
The person in charge of the Halim Perdanakusuma Logistics Aid Reception Post stated that the assistance received would be immediately delivered to disaster response post locations in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. “This distribution is carried out to support the fulfillment of basic needs for affected communities and to strengthen emergency response efforts and the initial stage of recovery,” said a BNPB representative.
